BRAINWAVE STATES & MIND CONTROL
In the early 1990’s scientists began looking at the chemical, electric and magnetic activity of the human brain. They found that most of the brain’s activity was composed of many different frequencies of rhythmic and nonrhythmic waves or pulsations, ranging from 0.2 to several hundred hertz (Hz). These pulsations were then broken down into separate categories that were defined by their characteristics. These categories are Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta brainwave states.
The first is Beta, which on average, is in the range of 10-30 Hz (or pulses per second), though beta waves can number into the hundreds. The mental activity normally associated with Beta waves is the active awareness state that we experience from day to day at work and play. There are many external chemicals that can be induced into the brain to produce this state such as small amounts of alcohol, the nicotine in cigarettes, caffeine in coffee and tea, diet pills, and amphetamines.
The next wave is Alpha, which ranges between 7-12 Hz and is prominent during relaxation with eyes closed, day dreaming, and upon trance-like states. The 1960’s made this activity famous when it was found out that cannabis or marijuana, when grown naturally, induced this state in people. Scientist found out that it was the chemical THC that caused this euphoric feeling by being a substitute for the brain’s natural pleasure chemicals which are called endorphins.
The least known wave is the Theta wave. This wave is in the range of 5-8 Hz and is characterized with heavy Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, lucid dreams and deep meditative states. External chemicals that can induce this activity are found in hallucinogenic substances like LSD, Psilocybin Mushrooms and Dimethyltryptamine.
The next wave range is Delta. The Delta’s frequency is in between 0.2 & 6 Hz, which can be as low as 1 cycle per month or even pure direct current (DC). The outward appearance of this area is dead to the world sleep, and even coma occurring during this state. The most common time people reach this state is when they have had a F**k load to drink and they suddenly get the urge go to sleep, or to just outright pass out. Excessive amounts of alcohol induces the brain into the Delta state so the body can repair and filter out toxins and poisons within itself.
Out of all the different types of brain waves there is a very interesting range called the Alpha-Theta border. This is a state of mind that brings about creativity, intelligence, and a host of other abilities the brain is capable of doing when properly stimulated. It is a state where the central nervous system reduces input from the peripheral nervous system. The lowering of sensory input serves to normally protect the central nervous system from sensory overload caused by stress or physical damage. This range is between 7-8 hertz and this is not so surprising when you learn that the resonant frequency of the earth and ionosphere is approximately 7.5 hertz.
When people think of mind control they think of having some device attached to their heads or being strapped down to a chair and having the eyes pinned open to watch a TV screen. Today though, people sit them selves down.
‘In the last few years a new approach to brain waves and human emotion is being explored in the form of brain entrainment. This is a form of bio-feedback and stimulation to promote a specific wave state that is desired. This can be done by various methods; flashing lights, sound pulsations, electromagnetic pulses, and physical vibrations. These stimulation techniques require that the pulses, vibrations, or flashings occur at the desired frequency rate so that the brain can synchronize with the external signals.’ – Terrance A. Bastian
If you turn off the lights in you room, and leave your television on, you’ll notice the light from the TV pulsates. Scientists discovered that these pulsating lights of your television can induce you into a passive and lazy state, usually in the Alpha range. Coincidentally this would be the perfect brainwave state you’d want for implanting behaviors and perceptions into the sub-conscious mind, as the activity in the brain is very slow and in a slight trance during these states.
This song describes it perfectly:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqO1pUuFuHc
As Terrence mentions, a specific state can be reached not just through pulsating lights, but also by sound pulsations and physical vibrations. These three techniques are used simultaneously in modern ‘House’ music concerts. This music also uses specific frequencies to manipulate the minds of the listeners.
Controlling your brain activity.
Well the first step I’d take (and have taken) is stop watching TV, and listening to House music, as they are both very manipulative.
Regular meditation is a fantastic way to calm the activity of the mind and reach relaxed states. But if that’s not your thing these states can easily be induced with Binaural Beats. To make it complicated, binaural beats are ‘auditory brainstem responses which originate in the superior olivary nucleus of each hemisphere.’ In other words, they are different frequencies played into each ear which induce certain brainwave states. For example, if in one ear, a pulsating frequency of 100 Hz is played, and in the other a frequency of 106 Hz is played the resulting wave of the brain will be the difference between the two, so in this case 6 Hz (pulses per second) which would be a Theta state.
